The WiFi Wildcam will automatically record any periods of detected activity onto the microSD card. These files are encrypted. To save and share recordings the customer has to use the Tuya app to manually record the clips they want to keep.

Scenario 1 - a customer enquires about how they can save and share recordings on their camera.
Canned response 14.1
The WiFi WildCam will automatically will record a clip on activation. You view this clip by going to the Playback screen on the Tuya app. This screen allows you to view all the recordings on the microSD card. These recordings will appear as light grey sections on the timeline.
To save a clip from this timeline, you tap the record button at the start of the clip, and then again when you are finished. This saves the clip into the app's photo album. If you go back to the main camera overview screen, you can tap on the album tab. From there, you can save the file to your phone, email it, share via a different app etc.
You cannot manually save files by taking the microSD out and putting it into a computer etc, as the files are encrypted and must be accessed and saved via the app.
We have a video that goes over this process if you do want to view what this looks like on the app - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNsJvGBnMF4&t=3s&ab_channel=NatureSpy

Unfortunately the files on the microSD card are encrypted and so you cannot view these on a computer or laptop. The files must be accessed via the Tuya app.

The WiFi WildCam has to remain within your WiFi range to operate. It will not record if placed outside of the range of your WiFi Router.
